Grab some coffee and pull up a chair. We'd love to get to know you. Below you'll find out about our lead minister, Roy, and his story and hope for Alamo Hills.

Roy Farias

I am a San Antonio native…GO SPURS GO!

While I didn’t grow up in a Christian home as a kid, I came to Christ at 13 years old. My father passed away tragically and unexpectedly in a car accident which left me lost. I came to see that Christ was and is all sufficient. From that moment on the Holy Spirit became my much needed comforter.

As I continued growing in my journey with Christ, I served on the student leadership team for Campus Crusade for Christ at UTSA. This is where I got my feet wet serving in Christian ministry.  I knew this was what I wanted to do with my life…but I still fought this desire.

Two years after college, I enrolled at Fuller Seminary in Los Angeles, CA. During this time I started to fall in love with the love of my life, my wife Jacqui. Shortly after Jacqui and I got engaged I moved back to San Antonio to be with her and started working at a local San Antonio Church, Oak Hills. Following Oak Hills, the Lord led Jacqui and me to Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas to serve as one of their youth pastors.

By God’s providence, he unexpectedly led Jacqui and me back to San Antonio where I now serve as the lead minister of a brand new community called Alamo Hills Church where our passion is to lead all people into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ in Alamo Ranch and beyond!

Jacqui and I have been trying for children for the past 2 years and have welcomed our first child, Vera Michelle, into this exciting world!  We have 2 awesome dogs, Sir Finn & Topanga.

It is my hope that everyone who considers Alamo Hills Church their community will be a driving force of love and justice in their world for the glory of Christ.
