Grab some coffee and pull up a chair. We'd love to get to know you. Below you'll find out about our lead minister, Roy, and his story and hope for Alamo Hills.

Lead Minister

Roy Farias

I am a San Antonio native…GO SPURS GO!

Growing up, my family didn’t know what it meant to walk with Jesus.  This was until the pain of my dad’s passing brought me to my knees at just 13 years old.  From that moment Jesus overwhelmed me with his love and salvation.

At UTSA I served in Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) and knew that God was urging me to serve in full time ministry.

After 2 years of fighting God’s call, I finally enrolled at Fuller Theological Seminary in Los Angeles, CA.

When I returned to San Antonio to be with Jacqui, I began an exciting adventure of ministry at Oak Hills Church.

A year after Jacqui and I got married, I received a call to serve as a youth pastor at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas.  We had an amazing time discipling students and families.

Now, Jacqui and I get the privilege of leading this incredible church who’s passion is to lead all people into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ in Alamo Ranch and beyond!

Jacqui and I have walked through the pain of infertility and miscarrage for the last 2 years, and have recently welcomed our sweet baby girl into the world, Vera Michelle!  You can read about our journey to parenthood by clicking here.

We also have 2 loving pups, Sir Finn & Topanga Ellen!

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus, he wrote, “…I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people…and I have not stoped giving thanks for you…” (1:15)

It is my hope that Alamo Hills has the same reputation of love in our city and around the world!  Let’s do it…join in on the mission!
