Grab some coffee and pull up a chair. We'd love to get to know you. Below you'll find out about our lead minister, Roy, and his story and hope for Alamo Hills.

Lead Pastor

Roy Farias

I am a San Antonio native…GO SPURS GO!

If you asked my 7 year old self what I wanted to be when I grew up… the thought of being a pastor would be nowhere near my list!  I didn’t even know what a “pastor” was!  Then, by 13 years old, Jesus overwhelmed me with his love and salvation.

At UTSA I served in Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) and knew that God was urging me to serve in full time ministry.

After 2 years of fighting God’s call, I finally enrolled at Fuller Theological Seminary in Los Angeles, CA.

When I returned to San Antonio to be with Jacqui, I began an exciting adventure of ministry at Oak Hills Church.

A year after Jacqui and I got married, I received a call to serve as a youth pastor at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas.  We had an amazing time discipling students and families.

Now, Jacqui and I get the privilege of leading this incredible church who’s passion is to thrive together here in San Antonio and beyond!

Jacqui and I have walked through the pain of infertility and miscarriage for the last 2 years, and have recently welcomed our sweet baby girl into the world, Vera Michelle!  You can read about our journey to parenthood by clicking here.

We also have 2 loving pups, Sir Finn & Topanga Ellen!

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus, he wrote, “…I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people…and I have not stoped giving thanks for you…” (1:15)

It is my hope for Alamo Hills to have the same reputation of love in our city and around the world!  Let’s thrive together and join in on the mission of Christ!
